Stan The Annuity Man, a.k.a. Stan Haithcock is known as “America’s Annuity Agent” and the top independent annuity agent in the United States. Licensed in all 50 states, he is recognized as one of the top thought leaders in the annuity industry. He is the founder of The Annuity Man LLC, with office locations in Florida and Nevada.
Stan has published 7 books on the annuity topic and prides himself on being a consumer advocate for all things annuity. He represents all annuity companies and works with the life insurance/annuity industry to promote a “contractual guarantees only” approach to educating the public.
Every single day (Monday through Friday), Stan releases an education YouTube video on his Stan The Annuity Man YouTube channel. He also released a weekly Podcast called The Annuity Man Podcast that can be found on every major platform. He also is a contributor to major websites like TheStreet.com and MarketWatch.com...and is a frequent blogger on his TheAnnuityMan.com website. The bottom line is that Stan provides more educational content for the consumer than any agent or financial advisor.
Stan The Annuity Man has spoken at every major financial trade show in the United States and is a featured annuity expert guest on national TV, Radio, and Podcasts. With a financial background that includes some of the largest (past and present) wirehouse organizations such as Dean Witter, Morgan Stanley, Paine Webber, and UBS, Stan brings a financial background that most annuity consultants can’t match.
Stan The Annuity Man only recommends fixed annuities. He does not sell variable annuities, life insurance, or long term care insurance. His entire focus is on contractual guarantees using all fixed annuity types. Stan is a firm believer that annuities should NOT be purchased for market growth, even though too many advisors push annuities for non-guaranteed return scenarios. Those fixed strategies that Stan uses can contractually provide full principal protection or lifetime income, with the policies able to be customized to fit your specific goals. Even though The Annuity Man LLC is a top annuity sales leader, the true focus is educating the consumer so that they can make an informed decision on their terms and on their time frame.
The primary annuity types offered by The Annuity Man are Single Premium Immediate Annuities (SPIAs), Deferred Income Annuities (DIAs), Qualified Longevity Annuity Contracts (QLACs), Multi-Year Guarantee Annuities (MYGAs), Fixed Index Annuities (FIAs), and Income Riders attached to deferred annuity contracts. Stan has developed proprietary annuity calculators that shop all carriers for the highest contractual guarantees available for your specific situation and goals. Stan doesn’t have a “favorite carrier or annuity company,” he is only committed to finding you the best contractual offer.
Stan The Annuity Man has developed unique methods and sayings that are now commonplace in the annuity industry. His P.I.L.L. acronym describes what annuities solve for and is an easy-to-understand way to determine if an annuity (of any type) is suitable and appropriate for your specific situation.
If you don’t need to contractually solve for one or more of the items in the P.I.L.L., then you do not need an annuity. It’s that simple.
The other unique strategy that Stan has developed for potential annuity buyers is his “2 Question” method for determining what type of (if any) annuity would provide the highest contractual guarantee.
From those two answers, you will know what type of annuity best fits your situation so that we can quote all carriers to find the highest contractual guarantee.
Stan The Annuity Man’s sayings and “Stanisms” are used by agents and advisors across the country. Below are just a few of his factual informational nuggets of wisdom when it comes to annuities.
“Own an annuity for what it WILL DO, not what it might do.”
“There’s no perfect annuity answer, just bad sales pitches.”
“Don’t buy annuity sale pitch dreams because you are going to own the contractual realities.”
“Be wary of bad chicken dinner annuity seminars.”
“The Annuity Man is where annuities are bought...not sold.”
“If it sounds too good to be true with annuities...it is...every single time without exception.”
“Annuities are contracts, not investments.”
“Annuity companies have the big buildings for reason...they don’t give anything away.”
“Upfront bonuses on indexed annuities are nothing more than candy for the stupid.”
“Income Rider percentages are NOT Jimmy Carter interest rates.”
There is a reason why some people refer to Stan The Annuity Man as “the walking middle finger of annuity truth.” He is brutally factual and unapologetic about his contractual guarantees only approach to all things annuity. He won’t be your friend, but he will be the best advisor you will ever have. By the way, your advisor should never be your friend.
Stan grew up in North Carolina, with his parents both from the Tarheel state as well. Both his mom and dad were college basketball coaches, so athletics was the focus during Stan’s early years. In addition to playing basketball, Stan was a ranked junior tennis player and tried out for the Pittsburgh Pirates as a pitcher. However, basketball was his sport of choice. Stan set scoring records at his high school and was highly recruited for his shooting ability and on-court presence. He finished his basketball career at the University of Central Florida (UCF) in Orlando, which has the largest enrollment (70,000+) of any university in the country. Stan still holds the single-season free-throw percentage record at UCF with an incredible 92% accuracy rate and is remembered as one of the best 3 point shooters in school history.
Stan went right into the financial services industry after his playing days were over, and continues to approach his businesses with the same discipline and focus as he approached sports. Stan’s current hobbies include traveling to see live music concerts, writing, and motivational speaking.
He currently resides in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida with his wife Christine and has 2 adult daughters...Brielle & Brenna.
