Hi there, Stan the Annuity Man,
0:01
America's annuity agent, licensed in all
0:03
50 states in Puerto Rico, founder of
0:04
CGO, Contractual Guarantees Only, which
0:07
means you own an annuity for what it
0:08
what it will do, not what it might do.
0:11
The question of the day is, what are the
0:13
different types of annuity payments? Um,
0:16
we're going to cover all of that because
0:18
you're going to be surprised there. Not
0:20
all annuities provide payments.
0:23
um even though they were put on the
0:25
planet in the Roman times for the
0:27
beautiful Roman soldiers and their
0:28
families as a pension long time ago and
0:31
been sold as a payment uh contractual
0:34
guarantee in this country for 200 years.
0:36
But I'm going to go through all of them
0:38
after this.
0:45
All right. So different types of annuity
0:47
payments. Let's just go through the
0:48
basic ones. Most of you are familiar
0:50
with lifetime income payments. Okay,
0:53
those can be attached to single premium
0:56
immediate annuities, deferred income
0:57
annuities, qualified longevity annuity
1:00
contracts, income writers. Those are
1:02
lifetime income products. They're going
1:04
to pay as long as you're breathing. If
1:06
you set it up joint life, as long as
1:08
both of you are breathing, 99% of the
1:11
people that that purchase these lifetime
1:13
income income floor type products, they
1:16
get the income sent to them on a monthly
1:18
basis because we all kind of live like
1:19
that. We're used to getting paid like
1:21
that. But you could do you could do
1:23
quarterly, semianual, or annual
1:26
for those payments. Okay, those are
1:29
lifetime payments. They're going to pay
1:31
as long as you're breathing, if it's
1:33
joint life, as long as one of you is
1:35
breathing and or on a respirator. And
1:37
with AI, artificial intelligence,
1:40
shortening the medical breakthroughs,
1:42
it's going to lengthen out your life
1:44
expectancy. So, I really believe right
1:46
now is a bargain to buy life lifetime
1:48
income products because we're at legacy
1:50
old life expectancy tables. And I'd say
1:53
in the next two to three years, check
1:54
the time of this taping, those life
1:56
expectancy tables will change. Okay, so
1:59
that's that's one type of payment that
2:02
most people are aware of. All right, the
2:05
other type is a period certain. So for
2:08
instance, you might buy an immediate
2:10
annuity that pays for 10 years or pays
2:13
for 20 years or pays for 30 years or
2:15
pays for 15 years, meaning it's just
2:17
going to pay for that specific period of
2:19
time. Now, you can combine that with
2:22
life, meaning you can have a life with a
2:24
20-year period certain, meaning that
2:26
it's going to pay as long as you're
2:27
breathing. But let's just say you died
2:29
year four of the payments, they would be
2:32
there would be 16 more years of payments
2:35
for the beneficiaries.
2:37
So lifetime income payment period
2:39
certain payment and you can combine
2:42
those. Now the other type of payment
2:44
that you can get is buying a MIGA
2:47
multi-year guarantee annuity. It's a CD
2:50
annuity is what I call annuity bond. So
2:53
you're buying a specific duration
2:56
interest rate for that duration that's
2:57
contractual. It's guaranteed.
3:00
Now, a lot of people like doing that
3:02
because you can protect the principal
3:04
and just take the interest off the top.
3:07
So, give you an example. Someone other
3:09
day bought a half million dollar MIGA.
3:11
It's getting X percentage and they're
3:14
peeling off that percentage every month.
3:18
Okay? And at the end of the duration,
3:20
they're going to still have their
3:21
$500,000.
3:23
So, you're getting the payment but in
3:26
interest form. And you can get it on a
3:28
monthly basis, quarterly, semianual,
3:30
annual. So we ask two questions to
3:32
everybody. What do you want the money to
3:34
contractually do? When do you want those
3:35
contractual guarantees to start?
3:37
Annuities solve for four things.
3:39
Acronyms pill, principal protection,
3:40
income for life, legacy, and long-term
3:42
care. But when you're looking at income,
3:44
say income is what you're trying to
3:46
solve for. There's a ways there's ways
3:49
to get those payments. MIGA payments.
3:51
When you're taking interest out, that's
3:53
not a lifetime income stream. you're
3:55
it's for the duration of the MA. So,
3:57
let's just buy say you bought a 10-year
3:59
MA, which you can, and you're going to
4:02
peel off the interest every year for
4:04
those 10 consecutive years. At year 10,
4:07
we're going to call you and say, "Hey,
4:08
do you want to roll it to another and do
4:09
it again or do you want to transfer it
4:11
to an immediate annuity?" But MA
4:13
interest is not a lifetime income
4:14
stream. With SPDSQ likes and income
4:17
writers, that's a lifetime income stream
4:19
unless you tell us you just want a
4:21
period certain for the SPIA or the DIA.
4:24
We had a guy the other day, he had a
4:26
specific period of time he he needed a
4:29
gap fill. So he did a he bought he
4:31
bought the D, a deferred income annuity,
4:33
which is in essence an immediate annuity
4:35
that you defer. Same structure, no
4:37
moving parts, no annual fees, no market
4:38
attachments, just a a pension, deferred
4:41
it for six years, and then it paid for
4:42
10 because at the end of that 10 year,
4:44
he had another income stream kicking in.
4:48
So you can be as surgical and detailed
4:51
and granular as you want to be with how
4:55
you structure the annuities. And if
4:57
you're thinking, you know, a specific
4:58
case or to be fancy or you just want me
5:01
to look at it and help you with the
5:03
design, just shoot me an email,
5:04
stantheanuityman.com.
5:06
We'll get on the phone and I'll I'll
5:08
have my team and I work on it and get
5:10
you something contractual that makes
5:12
sense that does exactly what you want it
5:14
to do. Annuitities are customizable in a
5:17
lot of cases. Annuity strategies are
5:20
definitely customizable. I've over my
5:22
three decades, I've come up with all
5:24
kinds of different strategies
5:27
for annuities that contractually do what
5:29
you want it to do. But from the
5:31
standpoint, you know, how many annuity
5:33
type payments or what are the annuity
5:35
payment types? Just look at it like
5:38
this. It's either three, really three.
5:40
lifetime income. Okay. Period certain or
5:44
interest.
5:45
That's it. Now, lifetime income can be
5:48
combined with the period certain, but
5:50
interest is interest. Now, for the
5:53
gunslingers out there that that say,
5:55
"Well, what's what about index
5:56
annuities?" Those those returns are not
5:59
guaranteed. Let me repeat it. Index
6:01
annuity returns are not guaranteed.
6:04
We're not talking about the income
6:05
writers. That's monopoly money and a
6:07
phantom account that can only be used to
6:09
determine your first lifetime income
6:11
payment. That's fine if you understand
6:13
that and we're quoting that for you.
6:15
Just A+ or better highest rate, highest
6:17
number. But the reason that we can't
6:20
include the index annuity with all this
6:21
other stuff is there's no guarantee of
6:23
the return. You literally could get zero
6:27
for 10 years. I've seen it to where I've
6:29
seen horror stories on index notes.
6:32
They're just they're CD products. They
6:34
were put on the planet in 1995 for CD
6:37
products. The only way that we use them
6:39
currently is as a delivery system for
6:41
the income writer when people need
6:43
lifetime income in the future. One thing
6:45
you got to realize about annuities, and
6:46
no one says this, but me. Annuities
6:50
are the only product type that can
6:52
guarantee lifetime income. Please do not
6:55
say, "Stan, I bought a 30-year bond."
6:57
Please, please, please don't waste my
7:00
time. Okay? We're talking about lifetime
7:03
income. We're talking about as long as
7:05
you're breathing or and or in a
7:06
respirator and in a coma, it's going to
7:09
pay. No other product does that. No
7:11
other product category does that. And
7:15
and people, this kills me. The most
7:18
popular government program on the planet
7:20
is what? Social Security. The most
7:23
popular government program on the planet
7:25
is an annuity, which is Social Security.
7:28
The most popular government program for
7:30
inflation
7:32
is an annuity. It's called social
7:34
security. But somehow people hate
7:36
annuities.
7:38
Could be one of the biggest marketing
7:40
blunders of all time. Business schools
7:42
for decades will be studying it and
7:44
going, "Who is in charge of all that?
7:47
Why was there only one person in
7:49
sweatuits yelling at the top of his
7:51
lungs that annuities are a bargain for
7:53
lifetime income? that annuities should
7:55
be used in in combination with the other
7:57
annuity you own on social security for
7:59
your income floor. Why was there only
8:01
one person with with really cool
8:03
baseball caps and and sweatuits with
8:05
logos on them pounding the table and
8:07
yelling into the hurricane?
8:10
Why was he the only one? I'm hoping that
8:12
doesn't happen because I'm hoping more
8:14
and more people join me on my
8:16
contractual guarantees only mantra and
8:19
mission to define annuities for what
8:22
they are. Contractual guarantees. This
8:25
question is what what what are the
8:28
annuity payment types? How many I mean
8:30
what are those? Great question because
8:32
you're thinking, wait a minute, I need
8:34
lifetime income. I need an income floor.
8:36
I need another version of social
8:38
security. I need another version of a
8:40
pension. I need lifetime income. I need
8:42
income I'm not going to outlive. I'm
8:44
tired of the markets. I just want to go
8:46
live my life. I've won the game. I don't
8:48
want to play anymore. Hello.
8:51
That's lifetime income.
8:53
I did a video a while back says lifetime
8:55
income is the ultimate outcome. It is.
8:59
It is. I did another video spinning
9:01
above my head about how to use
9:03
calculators and and the quote machines
9:06
and things like that properly. And guess
9:08
who's I'm going to promote? It's mine.
9:10
And you're saying, "Stan, you're a
9:11
homer. That's ridiculous. There's other
9:13
people. There's there's not other people
9:16
that that allow you to do it
9:17
anonymously. Every single person that
9:20
tries to compete with me, which is a
9:22
joke, they want your name. They want
9:26
your email address. They want your phone
9:27
number. We do not want your name. We do
9:29
not want your email address. We do not
9:31
want your phone number. All you have to
9:33

9:37
contractual guarantees as a country in
9:39
the country, state of residence, gender,
9:41
date of birth, annuity game on as they

say.
