Why do Most Journalists Seem to Hate Annuities?

I wish I could say that the annuities industry has a fragmented message, but there is literally no message other than “sell, sell, sell!”  There is a common negative theme that you see with most journalists when the word annuity is mentioned, .  In addition, the annuity industry is largely to blame for this negative image because there is no uniform message or branding strategy to simplistically explain how annuities should be considered.
